The Holdingford
Catholic Churches invite you to worship with us and to share your gifts and talent by being active in many of our organizations.
The Five Parish Catholic Community
welcomes you to our area. We have a unique faith community of five small parishes operating as one community. The five
parishes each have their unique and
differing gifts and talents much like is found in a family. As a family is blessed
and flourishes when all the gifts of the family are utilized, so it is with our faith community. Each parish offers the community
its special gifts and talents, then together, we form a community that is able
to meet the needs of all who are one with us. We hope that you decide to become one in faith and one in community with us.
St. Hedwig's church was built in 1910 by Polish ancestry who settled in the small community of Holdingford. St.Hedwig's
parish is known for its traditional and strong values as is shown in its statues, beautiful white altars, the polish
music that is often sung during holiday services among many other things. St. Hedwig's parish is the largest of the
parishes in the five parish community. It seats 435 people. The parish of St. Hedwig's is a welcoming parish
as is the community of Holdingford. Holdingford today has a population of about 800 with growing industries and
housing communities.
Our five parishes are served
by two pastors, Fr. Jerry Mischke and Fr. Mark Stang. Though unique in personality, both are
committed to providing our community a strong and supportive pastoral presence. Please
know they are most willing and available to meet with you at your request.
Our hope is that you will find a home within our
Five Parish Catholic Community and St. Hedwi'g's parish as we continue to grow in faith and work together to build
the Kingdom of God.
